Deep Dive Bible Study
Deep Dive is a verse-by-verse, in-depth Bible study designed to help you grow deeper in your understanding of Scripture through careful study, daily homework, and guided conversation about God’s Word. Each study walks through a Book of the Bible and includes meaningful discussion and a weekly in-person or online gathering offered across our campuses. Our next Deep Dive Bible Study will start this Fall with various class options launching September 8th, 9th, and 10th, and we look forward to studying the book of Acts! Find an Activity Group
Community isn’t something we stumble into—it’s something we build! Activity Groups are intentional, life-giving gatherings that connect people around something they love—a shared interest. Your group might meet for a weekly hike, crafting, game nights, family-friendly outings, or even bonding over a charcuterie board. The goal is simple: to foster connection and make a large church feel small. Registration for Fall 2026 Activity Groups is open! Interested in starting your own Activity Group? Fill out our interest form, and we’ll be in touch.

Activity Group FAQs
Do you want to connect with others through shared interests? Then Activity Groups are for you! To learn more, start by getting answers to some common questions via our FAQ.
The goal of an Activity Group is to connect members of our congregation around a shared interest or for a particular purpose. It could look like a weekly hike, a book club, a game night, crafting, family outings, or simply bonding over coffee or a charcuterie board. These groups are meant to foster connection and make our large church feel small.
Activity Groups may meet in-person or online... or be hybrid–switching between the two meeting styles. There are Activity Groups for EVERYONE: men, women, singles, parents, young adults, and more! Use our Group Finder at LiquidChurch.com/GroupFinder to see all of the options available.
The short answer is: EVERYONE. Whether you’re brand-new to Liquid Church or you’ve been coming for years, an Activity Group is a great next step if you want to connect with others through healthy, meaningful relationships.
We offer groups built around different affinities—whether that’s women, men, or anyone looking for community in their current season of life. We also have groups based on age and stage, so if you want to gather with peers who understand where you are, you can. Truly, there’s something for everyone.
Each Activity Group gathers around the purpose highlighted in their group name. While each group is unique, all groups open with prayer and then socialize around their particular activity, such as hiking, crafting, or even just playing at the park. The meeting will last somewhere around 1 to 2 hours.
Activity Groups meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis (decided by the group leader) during the course of three semester sessions in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.
While there are a lot of options available for hosting Activity Groups, all groups must be life-giving and for the glory of God. That means, there won't be groups gathering to discuss romance novels or watch horror movies, etc. You may also want to know that "group guides" will no longer be provided, so the Activity Group Leader must select a specific activity or theme for their gatherings.
Fall Activity Groups will meet for 10 weeks. When a new season of Activity Groups launches, you can sign up for another group or take a break.
Some do! In the description of each individual Activity Group, you will see whether the group provides childcare, children are welcome, or whether it is adults only. There are also groups that are designed for the whole family to participate or for a parent / child to join together.
At Liquid, we have three types of groups: Deep Dive Bible Studies, Support Groups, and Activity Groups.
Deep Dive is our in-depth Bible Study. This study is for people who have the time, desire, and dedication to study the Bible verse-by-verse with a commitment to daily homework (25+ minutes a day; 5 days a week) and weekly group gatherings. The larger goal of “Deep Dive” is to increase the biblical literacy of our congregation– exposing our people to the rewards of an in-depth study of Scripture.
Support groups help people find a safe space to receive the help they need. Whether it is freedom from anxiety or debt or a place to bear burdens around or finding a caring group of people who will walk alongside you through a difficult season or stage of life, support groups aim to help people live in greater peace and joy through their new life in Christ.
Activity Groups are all about sharing Christian fellowship around a particular activity. The goal of leading or joining one of these groups is finding connection and community with those who have a shared interest. We want you to form real relationships that enrich your life.
Thanks for your interest in leading an Activity Group. Your first step is filling out our Interest Form. Select "Activity Group Leader" from the dropdown list, and after submitting the form, we'll be in touch with your next steps.
If you have additional questions about hosting or joining an Activity Group you can email Discipleship Administrator, Terri Laurens at [email protected].
