Special Needs

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me...for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” - Matthew 19:14

We Would Love To Serve You And Your Child!

At Liquid, it’s our privilege and passion to serve children with a wide variety of Special Needs, including Autism, Aspergers, Down syndrome, and ADHD. We understand that having a child with Special Needs is life-changing. Please know that it’s our heart for every child to be supported to engage with their peers and feel a sense of belonging.

Buddy Program

Our Buddy Program is not currently operating in-person due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The good news is that we are meeting online! If you’re new to Liquid, our Buddy Program was designed so that children with special needs can participate in all Liquid Kids environments (birth – 8th grade) during weekend services. Our goal is for every child to be supported through the one-on-one care and attention of a buddy (aide).

We would be honored to accommodate your child with special needs. As a next step, please complete our Special Needs Inclusion Form and we’ll be in touch!

Support Groups

We understand that having a child with special needs isn’t just a challenge – it’s life-changing. That’s why we host a support group for parents of children (including adult children) with special needs. This group is currently meeting virtually each Tuesday night at 9pm.

Our support group is led by Kim Rushmore, a licensed social worker with nearly 25 years experience working with those on the autism spectrum. Kim is currently the director of a private school program for young adults with special needs and has led a number of support groups for families over the years.
