Revival FAQ

We’re asking every person to pray and discern how God is inviting you to participate in Revival. Talk with your spouse, family, or friends about how this commitment will stretch your faith. Have questions? Let us help with some answers!

What is the difference between regular tithes & offerings and giving to the Revival Initiative?

In short, there is no difference. The Revival Initiative is a two-year campaign (Dec 2026 - Dec 2028). During these two years, every gift given to Liquid Church will be used to both continue our ongoing ministries and invest in the vision God has given us for the future. Both priorities are part of a single budget set in response to the commitments our church family makes during this campaign. So when you give your tithes and offerings to Liquid Church, you are helping fund the Revival Initiative.

What does 100% engagement mean?

100% engagement means we want everyone who calls Liquid Church home to lean in and get involved in Revival. No spectators sitting in the bleachers. If we’re going to experience Revival in our hearts and homes, we’ve all got to be in the Word, fasting, praying, listening for God’s Voice, and asking the Holy Spirit to stretch our faith.

‍

Our prayer is that we will be "all in" — 100% engaged — on asking God to bring revival to our hearts, so He can transform our ministry together in this season.

How long is my commitment?

We are asking everyone to make a two-year commitment. The fulfillment period for your commitment will begin with our First Big Give on December 6, 2026, and will culminate in December of 2028.

What if I can’t afford to give right now?

Even in times of scarcity, God always desires your heart. The widow who gave her two coins may not have made a very large financial contribution in terms of the amount, but Jesus said she gave the largest gift of all! (Mark 12:42)

‍

Revival is about surrendering to God and trusting Him. It may mean that God is asking you to trust Him by making a faith commitment. God has supplied your every need in Christ, and you trust that He will honor a heart that desires to give generously in response to the gospel. There may also be ways to be sacrificial in your lifestyle to create margin for generosity. Find ways to involve the entire family and teach children to follow the Lord with a generous heart and to trust Him. This season is a great opportunity to take a look at our overall stewardship of all that God has entrusted to us.

What if I’m new here?

We’re excited that God led you to Liquid Church! We believe the local church is God’s plan for leading our neighbors into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Now is a great time to join our mission and say, “I want to help saturate the state with the Gospel of Jesus Christ” for generations to come!

What if I’m in debt? Am I still supposed to give?

Generosity should always be a part of our lives in every season, even if it looks different. If you are in the process of paying off debt, we bless you and encourage you to keep going! If you need help in your journey to financial freedom, we would be honored to encourage you. The Bible does not teach that we withhold giving until we are debt-free, but rather that we give joyfully through every season, even if it looks different. Putting God first in your finances is a wonderful way to experience the power of generosity and honor the Lord who graciously provides everything we need.

Why $50 million?

We believe this amount reflects a God-sized vision that will bless our children– and our children’s children for generations to come. As our leadership team has prayed and discerned what God is calling Liquid Church to in this special season, $50 million represents both a reasonable and a faith-stretching goal for six initiatives that will shape the future of our church–reaching people across our region and around the world!

‍

This is a bold step — and it's meant to be. A Broadcast Campus that extends our reach regionally. 10,000 baptisms to mark lives changed by Christ. A Prison Campus that brings God’s love and hope behind bars. A generation of kids and students deeply rooted in the Word of God. Fifty churches planted in fifty nations for persecuted Christians. This is what revival looks like when a church says yes together!

‍

We don't take this number lightly, and we don't expect you will either. We're asking every person at Liquid Church to prayerfully discern what part you’ll play in seeing God’s vision become reality — because when we're all in, the Holy Spirit does immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine.

What is Liquid Church going to do with the money?

Every gift given to the Revival Initiative will fund ongoing ministry at Liquid Church and invest in the vision God has given us for the future. That vision centers on six bold initiatives:

  • 🏗 Building a Broadcast Campus (Bridgewater, NJ)
  • 📖 Biblical Literacy
  • 💧 10,000 Baptisms
  • ⛓ Prison Ministry (Fort Dix, NJ | God Behind Bars partnership)
  • ✨ Next Generation Residency
  • 🌍 50 Churches in 50 Nations for Persecuted Christians (ICM global partnership)

Together, these bold missions reflect our calling to see revival take root — in our church, in our region, and around the world.

How do I give to the Revival Initiative?

Are there other ways I can give besides cash? What about stocks?

Yes. You may want to donate stocks, property, or mutual funds, or give through a QCD (qualified charitable distribution) from your IRA. You may also have resources God has blessed you with in the past that He's calling you to donate for kingdom purposes during this season.

‍

If you'd like assistance with a gift of stock, mutual funds, or an IRA distribution, we'd be happy to help. Feel free to reach out to our Executive Pastor, Dave Brooks at [email protected].
